​Lake Alfred, like many of our surrounding cities here in Central Florida, has a rich history and background with many wonderful sites that can be viewed and explored today.  Some of these have been restored and some are in the process of restoration.  Our downtown area offers a unique and charming shopping/dining atmosphere of both long-term (50+ yrs) and newer businesses.  In addition to historical sites, we are proud to host an awesome Veterans Park.  Copies of the "Walk & Explore" map listed below were first distributed at our 2019 Lake Alfred Heritage Festival.  Fold-out copies of this map may also be found at our City Administration Bldg and Library, Lake Alfred Historical Museum, and Lake Alfred Chamber offices.
