** 1700-1800's PIONEER VILLAGE "Lake Alfred Junction" will return with the help and support of Florida Frontiersmen members presenting authentic trades and lives of Pioneers, Indians, and Businesses of that era. Every camp site will be a mini-history lesson. For the past (50) years, Florida Frontiersmen, Inc. (a 501 C-3 organization) has sponsored "Alafia River Rendezvous" on their Homeland, FL property

FEBRUARY IS BLACK HISTORY MONTH
Lake Alfred's Black History will be highlighted through the work of Historian/Researcher Dean Moss McCracken
on the Rosenwald Schools and other materials sharing decades of community history and involvement.
We are honored to have "The Buffalo Soldiers Florida, Inc" led by President, Richard
Wilder, and "The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War" led by Commander, Tim
Campaign, joining our Civil/Seminole War History Exhibitors Group. They, along with
a visit from President Abraham Lincoln, will be presenting some important National
and State Black History events . . Education in action!!
